"OBJECT" WITH SPECIAL MENTION AT ART FILM FEST

The documentary film by Paulina Skibińska won yet another festival award. This time, it is the jury's special mention at the Art Film Fest in Teplice, Slovakia.

Art Film Fest was established in 1993. The festival programme is very rich, one can watch both feature-length films and short experiments as well as new Slovakian cinema and historical retrospectives. At the festival, two competitions are held: feature-length and short film competitions. At this year's edition, the jury's special mention was given to the documentary film by Paulina Skibińska "Object." The director and the cinematographer were appreciated for skilfully juxtaposing nature and human life and for showing the contrast between delicate beauty and the strength of the ice.

"Object" is a creative image of a rescue mission, taking place in the space of  two worlds - on the ice desert and under water. The film is told from the point of view of the rescue team, of a diver entering the world under the ice, and of the ordinary people, awaiting on the shore.

The full list of award-winning films is on the festival's website.
