"FRAGMENTS" WITH TWO AWARDS AT LA GUARIMBA FILM FESTIVAL!

The film "Fragments" by Aga Woszczyńska won two awards at the Italian film festival La Guarimba. The film was chosen the Best Fiction of the festival, and won the Best Cinematography Award for the camera work by Bartosz Świniarski.

La Guarimba is a short film festival, organised in the Calabrian town of Amantea. The festival is very young - this year, from 7 to 11 August, its third edition was held. Aga Woszczyńska can certainly consider this event successful. Her film “Fragments” won two festival awards in the Fiction category: the Best Fiction Award and the Best Cinematography Award for the camera work by Bartosz Świniarski. The jury who awarded "Fragments" consisted of Tomas Sheridan (Italy), Sam Morill (USA) and a team of Spanish film critics and directors El Tornillo de Klaus.

"Fragments" ia a collection of loosely connected scenes, depicting a breakdown of a relationship and a collapse of the world to which the main female character is desperately clinging on to. Anna and her partner have well-paid jobs, intense sex and go jogging every other morning. They live comfortable yet monotonous bourgeois life. That makes Anna slowly fall apart.

The full list of award-winning films can be found on the festival's website.
