“BATHS “ RECEIVES A SPECIAL MENTION IN LEEDS

Short animation by Tomek Ducki received another award yesterday evening. Film was picked up by the jury of UK’s Leeds International Film Festival. This is the sixteenth award the film scores.

POLISH SHORT FILMS AT COURT C’EST COURT FESTIVAL

Tomorrow in French Cabrieres d’Avignon the 21st edition of the Court c’est Court Short Film Festival will open. This year the organizers invited Krakow Film Foundation to share a Polish short film programme with the festival’s audience and guests.

„A BLUE ROOM” AWARDED IN MEXICO

This year’s edition of the CutOut Fest animated film festival came to an end on Sunday 16th November. Among the laureates stands Tomasz Siwiński and his latest animated film “A Blue Room”.

During last week the number of awards for two Polish student films – „Arena” by Martin Rath and „Rollercoaster” by Marek Marlikowski – increased. Films were awarded at the Early Bird Student Film Festival in Bulgaria and Bratislava IFF in Slovakia.

It was on Sunday evening when the 30th, anniversary edition of Berlin based Interfilm short film festival reached the end. The Best Animation award went to “Baths” by Tomek Ducki.

Last weekend, Polish filmmakers won three awards, given by the jury of Spanish festivals. Award-winning films are "The Mother" by Łukasz Ostalski and "Games" by Maciej Marczewski.

Last weekend was lucky for Polish film school students, who won three awards at the festivals in North America. Polish films were awarded at the Lonestar Film Festival and Berkeley Video Film Fest in US as well as at Canadian Hamilton Film Festival.
