"BATHS" KEEPS ON WINNING

Although nearly two years passed since the premiere of "Baths" by Tomek Ducki the film stills cathes attention of the juries and scores awards. This weekend animation has been awarded at the 12th Kecskemét Animation Film Festival that reached its end on June 28th.

The first edition of KAFF was held in 1985 when the festival was still a review of the most interesting Hungarian animated films. Since 1993 it has been organized as an international event that features several competitive sections open for submission coming from Hungary and abroad. This year, the festival's jury decided to award "Baths" by Tomek Ducki the Best Short Film of the festival. 342 films screened as a part of this year's edition of the festival including 18 shorts, 13 student films, 17 tv series and 10 music videos. Festival which was held in the Hungarian city of  Kecskemét ended on June 28th.

"Baths" is a metaphoric story of passing time. Two elderly swimmers meet at the baths for their ritual swimming. This time they are diving deeper than usual. Film is a joint production of Studio Miniatur Filmowych and UK based Peek and Boo. The film was awarded more than 25 times.
