ESTABLISHMENT OF THE POLISH ANIMATION PRODUCERS ASSOCIATION (SPPA)
On Wednesday 6th November 2013 a group of Polish animation producers gathered together in order to establish a new organisation – the Polish Animation Producers Association (SPPA). First project launched by the Association was their participation in the MIFA market in Annecy that finished last week.
The association’s main objective is to unite animation producers with a view to promoting positive and attractive image of Polish animated films in Poland and abroad with a special focus on contemporary animation. This involves integration of animated film producers circle, arranging support to Polish producers of animated films in order to obtain foreign co-producers and distributors, supporting young and talented filmmakers, promoting animated films for children and youth, as well as bringing up and educating future animation viewers. Producers involved in Polish Animation Producers Association cooperate with major governmental institutions and other organizations connected with cinematography in Poland and abroad.
Based on its ideas Polish Animation Producers Association is looking for business partners interested in production and co-production of animated films in Poland, promotion of Polish animation, as well as those interested in finding out more about Polish animation market – checking its capabilities and peculiarities.
