AWARDS FOR THE POLES AT THE SLOVAKIAN FEST ANCA

On Sunday evening ended the seventh edition of Fest Anca - the leading Slovakian festival dedicated exclusively to animated films. Among the award-winning films, there are as many as three Polish animated films.

As many as six Polish films participated in the programme of this year's edition of the festival. In the short film competition, "To Thy Heart" by Ewa Borysewicz and "Baths" by Tomek Ducki were shown, while in the student film competition - "An Incredibly Elastic Man" by Karolina Specht. In the music video competition, Poland was represented by the video by the duo Kijek/Adamski, made for the song "Best friend" by We Cut Corners. In addition, "Paperbox" by Zbigniew Czapla and "Darling" by Izabela Plucińska were shown in the non-competing sections. 

Polish films were awarded in three competitions. Special Mention in the professional short film competition went to Ewa Borysewicz and her "To Thy Heart." The animation by Borysewicz competed in the main competition with 48 films. In the student film competition, Karolina Specht outclassed her rivals, and her school film, "An Incredibly Elastic Man" won the Best Student Film Award. The last of the award-winning Polish films was the music video "Best Friend" for the song by We Cut Corners, made by the duo Kijek/Adamski. In its category, the film triumphed over 24 other films.

For this year's edition of the festival, a total of 1076 films produced in 70 countries was submitted.
