21ST AWARD FOR "CHARCOAL BURNERS"!

The documentary etude "Charcoal Burners" directed by Piotr Złotorowicz is once again among the best - again in Canada and Italy.

After the recent success at 17th Lessinia Film Festival in Bosco Chiesanuova, where Piotr Złotorowicz received the first award, "Charcoal Burners" is again triumphing in Italy - this time at Con i minuti contati - International Short Film Festival. Moreover, Złotorowicz's etude was also recognised  as the best documentary film at Canadian Cabbagetown Short Film & Video Festival. "Charcoal Burners" has already received 21 awards!

The film directed by Złotorowicz, the student of Polish National Film School in Łódź, is a short story about Marek and Janina, who work every summer in Bieszczady Mountains burning charcoal. We observe their everyday activities from dawn to dusk. Far from civilization, the protagonists live a simple, unhurried life, the rhythm of which is dictated by nature.
