CALL FOR PROJECTS FOR EUROPEAN SHORT PITCH 2012

The call for short film projects for the forthcoming edition of European Short Pitch has been launched. Till 10th October young authors of short films searching for international coproducers can submit their projects for the event.

Pitching is organized since 2007 by NISI MASA European Network of Young Cinema present in 26 countries that associates young professionals, students and enthusiasts of European cinema. Since its first edition around 100 projects were presented and have resulted so far in the making of 20 short films – many of them having a very successful international career.

The event combines a scriptwriting workshop in residency and a coproduction forum bringing together scriptwriters and industry professionals from all over Europe. Selected on the basis of their short film projects, 25 European talents gather to discuss, rewrite, and learn to promote their stories on a European level with the support of 5 tutors. They eventually pitch their projects in front of a panel of 35 producers, financers, buyers, and distributors.

The event is aimed at young authors between 18 and 35 years with the nationality or country of residence in the European Union or Croatia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine. The participation fee for each selected project is 500 Euros. The fee covers the tutorship costs, travel costs, accommodation and subsistence for one person for both on-location sessions.
