“THE DRESS” WINS ANOTHER AWARD

The film by Tadeusz Łysiak won the award for the Best Narrative Short Film at the Brussels Independent Film Festival.

Brussels Independent Film Festival is a film event that has been held in the capital of Belgium since 1974 and specialises in showing the most interesting independent productions from around the world. The program includes both short and feature-length narrative films made using very modest means.

This year, the event's program has featured Tadeusz Łysiak's Oscar-nominated short film. The award from Belgium is the first trophy since The Dress has found itself among the top five films competing for the Gold Knight.

The awarded film tells the story of Julia. Working in a roadside motel, the girl succumbs to an overwhelming feeling of rejection and loneliness. She is different and society has repeatedly made sure she knows it. However, she dreams of a relationship, of physical closeness with a man. Unexpectedly she crosses paths with a handsome truck driver and begins to fantasize about him.
