From this year on, the New Orleans Film Festival has the right to qualify the winner in the Documentary Short competition for the Academy Award. "Invisible" by Zofia Pręgowska, as the winner of the Special Jury Award in this category, can apply for a nomination for the Academy Award.

The protagonist of the film "Invisible" is a blind poet Ms Krystyna. The film is set in a tiny flat in Warsaw, which Ms. Krystyna cannot leave on her own because of her health.  Forced to rely on others, she incessantly comments the surrounding world by writing poetry.
