JULIA KOLBERGER’S FILM SCREENED IN „A WORLD OF SHORTS”

Graduation fiction short directed by Julia Kolberger – “I won’t be here tomorrow” is going to be screened in May in frame of “A world of shorts” – a monthly screening series organized by CFC Worldwide Short Film Festival held in Canada.

On Wednesday, 16th May Julia Kolberger’s film was selected as a part of the programme called "MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE". This screening is to trace and present films dealing with hopeless situations, unresolvable problems and unreasonable people but providing a promise that for better or worse, there's always an out.  The main protagonist of “I won’t be here tomorrow” - Marta - is a thirty‑year‑old doctor who lives with her mother. The film pictures her attempts to free herself from her  mother’s toxic influence. The secrets and resentments concealed by Poland’s wealthy middle class are difficult to break free from even when you are already an adult.

In mid-April “I won’t be here tomorrow” is scheduled to be screened in the competitive section of German Filmfest Dresden. This is the seventh international festival for Kolberger’s film made at Polish National Film School in Łódź.
