POLISH SHORTS AT GO SHORT

Tomorrow in the evening the fourth edition of Dutch short film festival GO SHORT will kick off. This year proved extremely fortunate for Polish films as eight titles were selected to the festival’s competition. What’s more another five films will be screened in frame of the special programme POLISH SHORTS. |

Yesterday evening, during the final night of the Icelandic Northern Wave Film Festival “The last train” directed by Weronika Tofilska received the Grand Prix. This short fiction proved the best among 38 titles produced all over the word. |

CALL FOR ENTRIES TO VISEGRAD SHORTS ON TOUR 2012

Visegrad Shorts on Tour opens the call for short films for the first edition of the travelling film festival devoted exclusively to films produced in Visegrad countries. The author of the best film will receive 1000 euros and among other finalists will travel to four Visegrad countries presenting his film on the festival tour. The deadline for submission is 23rd March. |

On 18th February the 15th edition of Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival (VIMFF) came to an end. The only Polish film in the competition – “Declaration of immortality” by Marcin Koszałka was awarded one of the main festival's awards. |

Since last year the number of screenings and awards received by Polish short films at international film festivals has risen nearly two times. With the total outcome of more than 760 screenings and 145 awards and special mentions Polish short films are finishing the year on the festival’s tournee. |

POLISH FILMS AT AMERICAN SXSW

Three Polish films were selected for this year’s programme of the American South by Southwest Music and Film Festival. The festival, that is one of the biggest and most important music festivals in US, apart from the abundant programme of music events every year hosts an impressive film selection. During nine SXSW festival’s days 130 films produced all over the world will be screened in Texas. |

Creative Focus – organized within the frame of French festival Annecy- is a forum devoted to the animation projects whose authors are seeking the support from the potential producers and buyers willing to get involved in the production. Projects for this year’s edition of the event, that will take place in June, can be submitted only till 15th February. |
