"MILKY BROTHER" AWARDED AT THE OLYMPIA FESTIVAL

Vahram Mkhitaryan can boast yet another award. His film "Milky Brother" was chosen the Best Short Fiction Film at the Olympia International Film Festival, which ended on December 5.

Olympia International Film Festival for Children and Young People is organised in the Greek city of Pirgos. This year's, 18th edition was held from November 28 to December 5. The festival ended successfully for Vahram Mkhitaryan, whose short fiction "Milky Brother" won the festival's Best Short Fiction Film award. The jury of the International Competition, that is, Markéta Pášmová, Stina Ask Mikkelsen, Aneta Ozorek, Jan Poldervaart and Panos Kyparissis gave the award to "Milky Brother" "For giving through cinema powerful insight to an archaic world, where the survival of every being is valued." 

“Milky brother” is a story of a little boy named Seto who lives in a small village in Armenia. Soon, a new member of his family is to be born. Seto is hoping for a brother, yet the infant dies. Instead of a little brother, a lamb appears in Seto's life. Initial dislike turns quickly into liking – friendship evolves between Seto and the lamb. Unfortunately, not for long. The family decides that the boys has to part with his favourite animal.
