WINNERS OF THE ANIMATOR FESTIVAL REVEALED

The Wojciech Juszczach Special Award went to the animated short Great Wall of Poland by Aga Jarząb. The main prize in the Polish competition was awarded to Impossible Figures and Other Stories I by Marta Pajek.

The International Animated Film Festival ANIMATOR is an Oscar® qualifying festival. It's the largest cultural event in Poland dedicated to animated film. The international section of this year's edition received more than a thousand submissions of animated films from 64 countries, including Costa Rica, Cuba, Kuwait, Macau, and Martinique.

The Special Award for Artistic Merit – in memoriam of Wojciech Juszczak awarded by the Artistic Director Marcin Giżycki went to Aga Jarząb for her animated short Great Wall of Poland.

In the Polish competition, the Grand Prix went to Marta Pajek for Impossible Figures and Other Stories I, the 2nd prize went to the Kijek/Adamski duo for Slow Light, and the 3rd prize to Julia Orlik for This Will Not Be a Festival Film. Joanna Kozuch received a special mention for Once There Was a Sea…. In turn, the audience honoured The Bridge by Izumi Yoshida.
