POLISH SHORT FILMS AT THE FESTIVALS IN FEBRUARY

February turns out to be a very lazy month as far as film festivals are concerned. In addition to the Clermont-Ferrand festival, taking place in its first week, Polish films will be shown, among others, in Latvia, in Belgium, Colombia and in the Philippines.

At the beginning of February, the Focus on Poland will be still going on at the French festival Clermont-Ferrand, in the competition of which the following films are included: "Ricochets" by Jakub Radej, "Acid Rain" by Tomek Popakul and "The Little Soul" by Barbara Rupik. You can find more information about the Focus on Poland in the news bulletin dedicated to this event here.

In the second week of February, "Tango of Longing" by Marta Szymańska will compete for another award. This time, the animated film will be presented in the competition at the 24th edition of the Riga International Short Film Festival. At the same time, "The Stop" by Bartosz Reetz will be shown in Colombia. The black and white hit of 2019 qualified for the competition at the Santander International Film Festival.

On the 21st of February starts the 39th Brussels International Animation Film Festival, in the competition of which there are "Acid Rain" by Popakul and "Portrait of Suzanne" by Izabela Plucińska. On the same day, but on the other side of the globe, starts the New York International Children's Film Festival, at which we will have our Polish representative. "Story" by Jola Bańkowska will be evaluated by the jury of its international competition.

In February, Piotr Sułkowski will have a chance to continue a run of good luck. His "Play" got to the competitions at the Asian Cinematography Awards and the Vidi Space Film Festival.
