“LUXURY” IN CANADA WITHIN THE FRAMES OF BEST OF SHORTS

Worldwide Short Film Festival in Toronto, one of the most important festivals in North America dedicated to short films, finished on 6th June, but the Canadian audience will again have an opportunity to get acquainted with crème de la crème of the festival. On 21st July in National Film Board in Toronto, there will be the screening of the award-winning films at the Worldwide Short Film Festival. Among them, there is “Luxury” by Jarosław Sztandera – the winner of TELUS Audience Choice Award.

During the closing ceremony of the Worldwide Short Film Festival in Toronto, which took place from 1st to 6th June, one of the main prizes - TELUS Audience Choice Award – went to Polish director, Jarosław Sztandera. His short film “Luxury” was appreciated by the audience and chosen from over 281 films shown at the festival. The screening of the award-winning films took place on the last day of the festival in Cumberland Theatre.

It was not, however, the last chance to see the festival award-winners. The organizers of Worldwide Short Film Festival invite to the screening “Best of Shorts” – to the presentation of the best short films of the past edition. On 21st July, in the NFB Cinema in Toronto, the victorious films will be shown: alongside with the Canadian feature films: “Slip” by Chelsea McMullan and “Fishes” by Jean Malek, the documentary “The Poodle Trainer” by American director Vance Malone, French animation “Silence Beneath the Bark” by Joanna Lurie, as well as feature film “A Parachute Falling in Siberia” by Australian director Ian Meadows, there will also be “Luxury” by Jarosław Sztandera.
