“SPARROW” ACKNOWLEDGED BY JAPANESE AUDIENCE

Marcin Janos Krawczyk's film was praised by the Japanese online audience of the Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia, who declared it the festival's best foreign film.

The American edition of the Short Shorts Film Festival was established in 1999. Five years later Japan joined the festival family by creating the Short Shorts Film Festival&Asia. Promote short films is extremely important to the organisers of these two events. The programs of both festivals feature a wide variety of productions from numerous corners of the world.

The protagonist of the winning Sparrow is a middle-aged man who has destroyed his relationship with his wife and 12-year-old son by spiralling into alcoholism. The arrival of a film crew shooting in a small village, and an offer to play an episode in a film give the man a chance to get out of his crisis and rebuild his family. Will meeting the filmmakers change his life?
