On Friday evening, 2nd of June, in the Malopolska Garden of Arts we learned the recipients of the industry awards presented during the Krakow Film Festival under the KFF Industry program. The ceremony was preceded by a concert by the Masecki/Młynarski/Markowicz trio, co-organised by the FINA National Film Archive – Audiovisual Institute. We still eagerly anticipate the Festival Awards gala, set to take place on Saturday at the Kijów Cinema.

Top industry representatives from around the world, including selectors from Berlinale, Sundance, Locarno, and the most important international animated and documentary film festivals, will be guests at this year’s 18th KFF Industry – the largest event for the international documentary and animated film community in Poland. As usual, the programme includes workshops, pitches, presentations, networking meetings, and a digital online video library. New to the programme are events focusing on XR and VR production, as well as V4 Co-pro Meetings – co-production meetings for the Visegrad Group countries.

Seven Polish animated projects will be presented during the Animated in Poland pitching session as part of KFF Industry, the industry segment accompanying the 63rd Krakow Film Festival.

Written and directed by Anastasia Solonevych and Damian Kocur, As It Was is the only film from Poland selected for the short film competition at the 76th Cannes Film Festival.
