A Polish animated film has been honored at the 48th Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival – the world’s largest short film festival and the second biggest film event in France after Cannes.

The programme of the 56th edition of the Tampere Film Festival in Finland – one of the most important film festivals in Europe – has just been announced. Among the selected titles is the short documentary film “The Tuners”, directed by Paweł Chorzępa, which has been qualified for the International Competition.

The short fiction film “Dream Up the Title”, directed by Klaudia Fortuniak and produced at the Łódź Film School, has been selected for the non-competitive Short & Mid-length section of the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR). The screening in Rotterdam will mark the film’s international premiere.

Polish animated films were among the winners of the 27th edition of the Black Movie International Independent Film Festival, one of Europe’s most significant showcases for independent cinema. Held in Geneva from 16 to 25 January 2026, the festival presented a total of 104 films from across the globe.
