POLISH FILMS AWARDED IN TIRANA

This weekend, another edition of the film festival in Tirana ended. As many as three Polish short films won awards in Albania.

In the short film category, the Best Short Film award went to "Adaptation" by Bartosz Kruhlik. The film was appreciated for its extremely sincere acting, thanks to which the director transported the viewers into the very middle of a family conflict, showing a universal and emotional topic.

The jury evaluating animated, documentary and experimental films gave the Best Short Documentary award to "Football Brothers" by Marcin Filipowicz. In its justification, the jury emphasised the ability to observe, which the director showed by depicting young boys dreaming about a football career.

In Albania, the short film "Tenderness" by Emilia Zielonka was also awarded. The feature film received the Best Student Film award from the student jury, who appreciated the film for its fresh and unique point of view on taking important decisions by a person, and for reminding how strong, and at the same time, how fragile a human being is.

The full list of award-winning films is on the website of the festival.
