OF A FOREST

POLISH TITLE: OPOWIEŚĆ O LESIE

REPRESENTED BY KFF

In her subtle animation Katarzyna Melnyk draws a portayal of a dog living among people. Its life is ruled by the rhythm of the human day which sets the time for eating or training. At night, when the lights in the neighbourhood go down, the forest brims with sounds. Little by little the dog’s repressed instincts start to call out. This hand drawn animation, “Of a forest”,  is a film about longing for freedom.
