“GREEN” WINS AWARD AT KABOOM FESTIVAL

Yet another award went to Karolina Kajetanowicz's animated film. This time, it received the Best Jamie Bolio Award at the KABOOM Animation Festival in Amsterdam.

Kaboom Animation Festival is an event created by enthusiasts for true animation buffs. The festival organisers focus on filmmakers' ingenuity, inviting diverse forms and unusual stories from around the world. There is no shortage provocative and daring works, but there's also room for intimate, very original films.

This year's festival programme included as many as five Polish animated shorts, but it was Karolina Kajetanowicz's Green that received the Jamie Bolio Award from the jury.

Roadside greenery is no man's land. Created to be driven past, not to be in. Geometrical and artificially delimited but overgrown by weeds – does it belong to man or to nature? The same goes for your Body. You drag it through life instead of being in it. Become it. I made this film to let your senses rest between real movies. To let your Body take a nap. Sweet dreams, second Body. I love you.
