“THE FLOOD” WITH A SPECIAL MENTION

Sofya Nabok's animation was appreciated during this year's edition of the StopTrik festival. The film received a special mention from the student jury.

Stoptrik is an international stop motion animation festival, which was created in the Maribor squat center of alternative culture in 2011. Since 2012, the festival formula has been enriched with two-stage, professional stop-motion animation workshops and an international short animation competition.

The award-winning animation "The Flood" follows a story of three sisters who go to the river on Kupała Night to complete the wreath-throwing ritual and see the elder sister's future. To do this, the girl goes up the bridge. There she hears a voice that prophesies her death in that river. The terrified Older Sister turns, then falls into the water.
