Next week The Melbourne International Animation Festival begins. As many as five Polish animated films are invited to the competition.

The Melbourne International Animation Festival equals eleven days of animated film madness. In the programme of the festival, there are about 400 films from all over the world. The audience will watch the latest productions, retrospectives, screenings of student films. The viewers will also meet the classics.

The competition section seems to be the most interesting part. It is in this part of the programme where you can find five Polish animated films.  The following films have a chance to win the best international animated film award: "Thicket" by Adrianna Matwiejczuk, "Squaring the Circle" by Karolina Specht, "Nebula" by Marcin Nawrotka, "Tango of Longing" by Marta Szymańska and "Bless You!" by Paulina Ziółkowska.

The festival is held from the 13th to the 21st of July.
