"IT'S REALLY AWESOME" WINS TWO AWARDS

Last weekend provided Katarzyna Warzecha's film with two awards. "It's Really Awesome" gained recognition at the Premiers Plans Festival in France and Küstendorf Festival in Serbia.

The Premiers Plans Festival presents film debuts from European directors. This year's 30th edition of the festival, which took place in Angers, was successful for Katarzyna Warzecha. Her film "It's Really Awesome" received the Films D’écoles Européens Special Mention.

It is not yet the end of the film's success. Last week, during the award ceremony of the 11th International Film and Music Festival Küstendorf, "It's Really Awesome" won the award for the best cinematography. The award went to the film cinematographer Piotr Pawlus.

The film protagonist is Iga, a student of Music Academy. She finds out about being awarded an abroad scholarship, for which her father, a musician, applied without her knowledge. The protagonist in the heat of emotions, packs her bags and leaves her home. She comes back three months later, when she learns that her father is seriously ill. The last week of his life is a peculiar farewell for the family, but also Iga’s confrontation with herself.
