PUSSY AWARDED IN CLERMONT-FERRAND

Yesterday "Pussy" directed by Renata Gąsiorowska was awarded with the Best Animation Film prize at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival

The festival in Clermont Ferrand is one of the leading international festivals presenting short films  39th edition of the festival was held from February 3 to 11, 2017. In the international competition, there were two Polish animated films: "Pussy" by Renata Gąsiorowska and  "Beside oneself" by Karolina Specht.

"Pussy," directed by Renata Gąsiorowska was awarded with the Best Animation Film prize. It is a funny story of a young girl who spends an evening in her apartment. The protagonist decides to organise a session of pleasure only for herself, however, not everything goes according to the plan. Only within the last month, the animated film achieved considerable success. It won, among others, the prestigious Grand Jury award at the festival AFI Fest in the USA and as many as four awards at the festivals in Germany.

Traditionally, at the film market accompanying the festival, there will be the national stall of POLISH SHORTS, prepared by Krakow Film Foundation. This year within the frames of the film market, there will be the special screening of Polish films addressed to film industry professionals. In the POLISH SHORTS PRESENTS programme, there are seven films, including four animations:  „XOXO – Hugs and Kissed” by Wiola Sowa, „Black Volga” by Marta Wiktorowicz,  „Locus” by Anita Kwiatkowskia-Naqvi, „Chainlets” by Alicja Błaszczyńska.
