"FOREIGN BODY" AWARDED AT OTTAWA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL!

Today ended the 40th edition of the film festival in Ottawa. One of the awards was given to Marta Magnuska for her film "Foreign Body."

Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF) is the oldest and at the same time, the most important festival dedicated to animated film in North America. The history of the Canadian festival began in 1976, with the first edition of the International Animation Festival, which was then organised every two years. This year, as many as four Polish films were shown at the festival: "Impossible Figures and Other Stories II" by Marta Pajek, "The Shavings" by Agata Mianowska, "Pussy" by Renata Gąsiorowska and "Foreign Body" by Marta Magnuska. The film by Magnuska was given the Award for Best Undergraduate Animation. Jury was amazed by the unique story, a mesmerizing metaphor for self-acceptance and raw sound design which was delightfully disturbing.

"Foreign Body" tells about things, which seem strange and weird, but in reality, they are close to us - about the internal and external transformation.
