"RED" APPRECIATED ONCE AGAIN

The impressive streak from November, when Karina Węgiełek's film won awards at the Prvi Kadar festivals in Bosnia and Herzegovina and at the prestigious festival in Thessaloniki, does not end there. This time "Red" received an award in Ukraine.

"Red" delighted the jury of the international film festival Bucovina, which takes place every year in Chernivtsy, Ukraine. It won the Grand Prix in its category - Best International Short Film. It was the only Polish film in international competitions. Barbara Brylska was a special guest of this year's edition.

The movie "Red" is about the scraps of life of Judyta and her father Zbigniew, shown across several days following the death of Judyta’s brother, Marcin, killed in a car accident. As they try to come to terms with the void left by a loss of a loved one, all their mutual resentment and finger pointing is unexpectedly interrupted by a stranger: Red.
