FOCUS ON POLAND DURING BALTIC PITCHING FORUM

The next edition of the Baltic Pitching Forum starts on Thursday, October 8, during which the winning projects will be presented. This year, Polish filmmakers were invited as special guests of this event.

The eighth edition of the Baltic Pitching Forum will be held on October 8-10, during which 12 winning film projects are going to be presented. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year's event will be held entirely online and will be available to all interested industry guests from around the world. They will have the opportunity to see short film projects of the most promising young filmmakers from the Baltic countries and Poland. Apart from the pitching sessions, there will also be lectures by invited guests.

The Baltic Pitching Forum consists of online script consultations and a three-day training session ended with a pitching session. The creators will present their short films to a group of professional filmmakers who will comment on their projects. Most of the Forum events will be open to registered people related to the film industry.

As in previous editions, two projects from the Baltic states will be selected for the trip to Euro Connection, an international co-production fair, held at the Clermont-Ferrand festival, or European Short Pitch, prestigious script workshops. The projects will be selected by the panelists of the Baltic Pitching Forum. This year, for the first time, a cash prize will also be awarded. A special jury composed of film producers will decide who will be its laureates.

Poland will be represented by the scriptwriter of Corpus Christi and The Hater, Mateusz Pacewicz, who, together with producer Ludka Kierczak, will present his new feature project. Apart from them, new projects by Betina Bożek - Dessert Dachshund (produced by Aneta Zagorska, Robert Sowa) - and Karolina Żebrowska - Ebony (produced by Shruti Sidhan) will be subject to pitching.
