Two boys who live in a solitary house with a disabled and brutally despotic grandfather are preparing a Christmas Eve dinner and wish their mother, who left them, would come back. This study of a Łódź Film School student made under the supervision of Robert Gliński and Stefan Czyżewski is a fiction variation on the Polish popular saying used as the film title.

born in 1977 in Gdańsk. He is a graduate of Polish National Film School in Łódź. He has made several short fiction films including "Ocalony" (2003), "Iwonka i Romek" (2004), "Klaśnij w dłonie" (2004) and "Wszyscy z mojego podwórka" (2006). His short fiction film entitled "Kids and Fish Have No Voice" (2008) has received an honorary distinction in the Young Polish Cinema competition at the f ilm festival in Gdynia. Recently, as a part of his independent work he works on a triptych of experimental horrors.
