During one night in wartime Kyiv, Alina, a young Ukrainian woman, takes an online French lesson with Pierre, her teacher in peaceful Paris. As air-raid sirens and explosions surround her, she clings to the lesson as a refuge and a fragile connection, while Pierre struggles to end the call for a dinner party.
