AUNTIE LEONIE'S
POLISH TITLE: U CIOCI LEONII
In the elegant living room of Auntie Leonia, the family has gathered to celebrate the host’s birthday. Over wine, the conversation soon turns to uncomfortable subjects. More or less spiteful remarks can be heard, conflicts become revived and long-hidden secrets come to the surface. Maybe laughter is the only remedy to these dissentions? The idea was inspired by Marcel Proust’s “In Search of Lost Time”. This film, masterfully cast and made, is on the border between cinema and theatre.
