"WE HAVE ONE HEART" WITH THE AUDIENCE AWARD IN LUXEMBURG

The last few days turned out to be extremely lucky for Katarzyna Warzecha's documentary animation. The film has just joined its growing collection of awards. The production captivated the audience of the CinEast festival.

Every year, Central and Eastern European Film Festival CinEast presents the newest and most interesting films from 20 countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Over 60 full-length and about 40 short films are waiting for the audience of the 18-day festival. Apart from documentaries, fiction and animations, the program includes concerts, meetings with invited guests, exhibitions and debates.

This year, three Polish short films were invited to the competition sections. In addition to the award-winning film by Katarzyna Warzecha, the awards were also made by Julia Pełka's "Fat Cathy" and "Me and My Fat Arse" by Yelyzaveta Pysmak.

The award-winning "We Have One Heart" follows the story of Adam, who finds the correspondence exchanged years ago by his parents: a Polish woman and a Kurd living in Iraq. For Adam, this is an opportunity to learn more about the father he never met. The combination of cartoon animation with archival materials allows you to move almost 40 years back, feel the emotions of people living in different parts of the world in love and discover an unusual family secret.
