POLISH ANIMATIONS IN BRUSSELS

At the beginning of March the 38th edition of ANIMA Festival starts in Belgium. Six Polish animations were invited to the programme.

ANIMA - The Brussels Animation Film Festival is one of Europe's most important events devoted to animation. The festival programme consists of competition sections, retrospectives, exhibitions and educational classes for kids. Another part of the festival is FUTURANIMA which is dedicated to professionals from the film industry.

Five Polish short animations will compete for awards at the festival. Following films were invited to the Best of Shorts student competition: "You Are Overreacting" by Karina Paciorkowska, "Squaring the Circle" by Karolina Specht, "Tango of Longing" by Marta Szymańska and "Bless You!" by Paulina Ziółkowska. In the Best of Shorts competition dedicated to professional filmmakers the audience will see "III" by Marta Pajek.

The opening film of this year's edition of the festival will be Polish coproduction "Another Day of Life" directed by Damian Nenow and Raul de la Fuente.
