ZOO PRAXISCOPE

A film dedicated to Edward Muybridge (1830-1904), an English photographer, film pioneer and creator of the zoopraxiscope, a projector for illuminating moving images. The film uses his footage and presents his creative method. All this with the humour and subtle charms of the first projections, set to the rhythm of Janusz Hajdun’s piano music.

Hieronim Neumann »

director of animated, combined and experimental films, layout artist, screenwriter, professor born in November 1948 in Poznań. Considered one of the most prominent members of the experimental trend in Polish animation. Neumann’s films use technical tricks, often based upon innovative solutions. They constitute a distinct phenomenon in Polish animation, at the same time being a part of its experimental trend, represented for instance by Zbigniew Rybczyński.
