THE CAPTAIN
POLISH TITLE: KAPITAN
Buffeted by life, a sea captain sets out on a solo attempt to cross the ocean in a tiny boat. One windless day – already completely bored by his endless journey and starting to feel the effects of loneliness – he meets an intriguing seagull. Unexpectedly, he discovers that he is interested in flying, and so he starts the arduous task of overhauling his boat. When the right wind appears, he does not hesitate to set his plan in motion.

She studied ethnology and cultural anthropology at the University of Warsaw, and animation at the Łódź Film School and the Estonian Academy of Arts in Tallinn. She developed her storytelling skills during screenwriting courses at La Poudrière, Young Horizons Lab and the CEE Animation Workshop. She is the director of several animated short films, which have been screened at festivals in Poland and abroad.
