Monika, since her accident some three years previously, has been confined to a wheelchair. Her daughter Julia makes a film about her mother as part of a school project. This film allows both of them to say things they would not normally say to one another.

Norah McGettigan »

Born on 30 July 1976, in the North West of Ireland, Norah is a theatre graduate from the Universtiy of Ulster. On completing her studies, she travelled to Eastern Europe where she worked as a teacher for several years before commencing an M.A. program in film directing at The Polish National Film School. Her films “A Song for Rebecca” and “The Water Fight” have won numerous awards worldwide and were both officially selected for the Cinefondation student film competition at Cannes. Norah has completed her third short fiction, "What it’s like to be my Mother", under the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing.
