LUMBERJACK

POLISH TITLE: DRWAL

A lumberjack and his little son live in a solitary little house hidden between a boundless forest and a huge oceanic cliff. Their life is like a fairy tale – after work the father makes wooden toys, they walk and play together. The son has unconditional love for his father, he is fascinated with his father’s power and care. One day when they go to the forest together, the lumberjack cuts down a strange tree. It totally changes him and turns their life upside down.

Paweł Dębski »

born in 1985 in Warsaw. He is a graduate of the Film School in Łódź where he studied Animated Film and Special Effects. As a student he made the film studies Hair Nightmare (2007) and Different Story (2008), which were well received at film festivals. Now he is working at the FUMI Studio in Warsaw, which is a co‑producer of his diploma film Lumberjack (2011).
