“MAY THE WORLD NOT CARRY YOU” AWARDED IN ITALY

The animated film by Rozalia Las was recognised at the Animaphix International Animated Film Festival in Italy.

Animaphix International Animated Film Festival was established in 2015 by Rosalba Colla. The event aims to promote and disseminate art and culture related to animation in Sicily. It doesn't only involve screening animated films from all over the world, but also holding creative meetings with directors and producers.

Rozalia Las's animated film received two awards at the Sicilian festival – the Renato Guttuso Award and Best Animated Painting Short Film. The awarded “May The World Not Carry You” is inspired by a Polish folk song and created using cel animation. A girl learns of her beloved's marriage to a woman with a larger dowry. Infidelity leads to tragedy.

More information about the festival itself can be found on its website.
