"FLORA AND FAUNA" AWARDED WITH SPECIAL MENTION AT REGENSBURG SHORT FILM WEEK

The film "Flora and Fauna" by Piotr Litwin won Special Mention at Regensburg Short Film Week. The festival ended last Wednesday, March 25.

This year's 21st edition of Regensburg Short Film Week was held from 18 to 25 March. Piotr Litwin's graduation film - "Flora and Fauna" - was appreciated by the international competition jury who decided to award it with the Special Mention. The jury consisted of Arna Bersaas from Norwegian Film Institute, British director Simon Ellis and Butheina H. Kazim from the United Arab Emirates.

Jan (56), one of the main characters of “Flora and fauna” is a high school teacher who decides to buy a young girl's virginity. Marysia (15) decides to sell her first time with a man. They agree to meet and go to a hotel where their contract can be settled and consumed. Due to Jan's lack of erection they are unable to do so. They part ways without resolving their contract. Later in the day as emotions cool down, Jan realizes that he paid for something he did not get. Jan and Marysia meet again.
