On Saturday, the 20th edition of Drama Short Film Festival in ended. The jury of the international competition annouced the German-Polish animated film "Darling" by Izabela Plucińska the Best Animated Film.

The latest claymation by Plucińska is a moving image of illness and alienation.  What does it mean to lose one's memory? In the labyrinth of fear, the close ones turn into strangers, and home - into a trap. Groping her way, tracking the familiar objects and shapes the protagonist tries to return to life which used to be her own. Izabela Plucińska's animation is a moving image of being lost and  alienated as well as trying to make a whole out of  pieces which do not fit together. The film's producers is Clay Traces and Hauptproductions Film.

So far, the animation "Darling" screened at almost 35 festivals around the world, including such prestigious ones as the Annecy Animated Film Festival, Animated Film Festival in Stuttgart and DOK Leipzig.
