POLISH TITLE: SZEPTY

Two women take care of the girl who wakes up screaming every night. Tired from restless nights and growing anxiety, they perform a ritual meant to get rid of the child’s nightmares. Even though it yields results, the thing behind the screams still lingers. Instead of disappearing, it gets passed onto one of the women, forcing her to confront her own fears.

Zofia Żwiruk (born 1988, Tarnobrzeg) – a multimedia artist, a graduate of The ArtDepartment of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. Involved in animation sincechildhood, when she created her own analogue technique: little paper tv–sets with filmframes drawn on till rolls. Since then, she’s been developing this passion in digital visualforms in which she’s discovered the way of expressing her ideas.
