She works as a cleaner at a railway station in Katowice. He is a concessionaire of a railway station toilet. She dreams of a trip to the world’s biggest festival of country music in Nashville and singing for the audience there; he wants to see the Statue of Liberty. After saving the right amount of money together they decide to fulfil their dreams; they are not deterred by the fact that they hardly know the language. It is a warm story, full of humour and music, about pursuing your dreams.
Katarzyna Trzaska
Katarzyna Trzaska had worked in film production for many years, also as script supervisor with such directors as: Volker Schlöndorff or Lena Einchorn before she went to study film direction at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Faculty of Radio and Television in Katowice, in Poland where she made short fiction and documentary films. "10 Years to Nashville" is her documentary debut realized after school. Katarzyna is also a co-author of scripts for TV crime series “Destiny” for the Polish Polsat Station. The director is based in Praga, Warsaw.
