This is the first edition of Polish Shorts issued by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute in cooperation with the Krakow Film Foundation. Its principal aim is to present the most interesting short films produced in Poland in 2008. This selection of 10 films out of over a hundred made in Poland in that time seeks to present, first and foremost, the diversity of artistic languages, artistic imagination, genres of expression and kinds of perceptiveness representing the most recent picture of what is alive, provocative and inspiring in the Polish cinema of today.
